An award-winning 8-piece band, Hanlon Brothers masterfully fuse original hip-hop, RnB, soul and jazz improvisations to create a signature sound with a killer combination of raw talent, versatility and flawless technique earning them a dedicated and ever-growing fanbase.
Recently announced as Song Of Year finalists in two Queensland Music Awards categories for track Diamonds, Hanlon Brothers were Gold Coast’s Emerging Artist Of The Year in 2015, as well as Artist of the Year finalists in 2016.
Performing at this year’s Gold Coast Music Awards alongside ARIA charting Amy Shark, Hanlon Brothers also joined international pop sensations, The Veronicas for the Surfers Paradise LIVE Festival.
Hanlon Brothers have played Woodford Folk Festival and support slots for the likes of Cat Empire, House of Shem and Stan Walker, reliably drawing thousands to shows and the watchful gaze of music giants Warner Music and Jay Z’s record company Roc Nation.
A musical melting pot of creative chemistry, fine-tuned talent and broad influences, Hanlon Brothers, Saia and Omar Hanlon, are joined by former New Zealand Idol winner Matthew Saunoa, rapper Roman Albert, the soulful Mr.Thomas Stowers and some of the world’s best horns players.
The Burleigh born and bred Brothers are passionate exponents of their local community, growing the next generation of Gold Coast artists through their music academy, Burleigh Music Academy, which their father and uncle founded in 1997, and regularly hosting free performances to champion local initiatives such as the Walk With Me Foundation and Burleigh Boardriders.
With a brand new purpose-built studio, Hanlon Brothers Studios in Miami on the Gold Coast, Hanlon Brothers are set to this year record their second studio album to follow up 2015's popular Featured, which garnered national radio airplay and a USA tour.
